Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership:
  • Provide comprehensive oversight of the Facilities Maintenance
  • Engineering and Environmental Cleaning departments, ensuring effective management of hourly solutions staff and adherence to established standards.
  • Plan, coordinate, and monitor all aspects of assigned departments specific to the contract Scope of Work, seeking continuous improvement within the Environment of Care.
  • Where assigned, oversee the Security + Protection Services Department in alignment with the contract Scope of Work.
  • Partner with the Client organization’s Environment of Care Committee and associated committees, collaborating with leadership responsible for Infection Control and Emergency Management.
  • Serve as liaison with assigned Third-Party Providers and recommend opportunities for improvement across assigned operations. Operational Management:
  • Monitor and report on assigned operational performance indicators, including metrics defined by the Client organization or within the contract Scope of Work.
  • Manage the corrective/demand and preventative/scheduled maintenance programs, and the predictive/reliability centered maintenance program as required by the contract.
  • Manage the laundry and linen program and the hazardous materials and waste program as required by the contract.
  • Oversee landscaping services where applicable to the assigned site/location.
  • Ensure schedules align with the contract Scope of Work and maintain organized records per contract requirements.
  • Monitor workflow and quality to ensure timely completion of workload; maintain adequate inventories and approve requisitions for equipment, chemicals, and supplies as authorized.
  • Prepare and manage assigned departmental budgets, including hourly labor and departmental supplies budgets as assigned.
  • Utilize the Company-provided programs to manage and complete operational assignments and projects as required.

Compliance and Safety:
  • Monitor adherence to the safety program; support and enforce OSHA compliance, staff injury prevention, and workplace safety incident response.
  • Perform safety audits and department-specific audits as required to maintain operational excellence.
  • Manage requirements related to The Joint Commission and/or other assigned accreditation agencies.
  • Perform risk assessments tied to facility infrastructure and safety systems.
  • Partner with assigned resources to support energy efficiency, water conservation, and other sustainability efforts as defined by the contract Scope of Work.
  • [If assigned] Serve as the Safety Official and/or Life Safety Code Compliance designee.

Team Leadership:
  • Monitor work performance and prepare/review performance evaluations for assigned staff.
  • Orient new Site Solution Team Members, including performance of on-the-job training.
  • Resolve complaints and discipline employees as required within the reporting structure.
  • Assign and monitor education and training of assigned employees.
  • Provide mentorship to other assigned Site Solution Leadership.
  • Create a transparent work environment that develops redundancies to support operations sustainment and continuous improvement.
  • Inform Site Solution Team Members of salient features and requirements, answering questions or directing them to appropriate resources. Additional Responsibilities:
  • Serve on facility committees as required by the Client organization.
  • Maintain all Company-delivered competencies required for the role throughout employment.
  • Perform other duties aligned with this role as directed by Corporate Solutions Leadership.

Qualifications
Position qualifications include the following:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • At least three (3) years of experience demonstrated within the healthcare Environment of Care or other type of mission critical facility/facilities.
  • Working experience with healthcare regulatory compliance agencies or other authorities having jurisdiction.
  • Thorough knowledge of maintenance programs and/or environmental services programs.
  • Knowledge of and ability to work within a computer-aided facility management system or similar platform.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to maintain documentation supporting survey readiness.
  • Demonstrated initiative, responsibility, flexibility, and leadership, with proven change management capability in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
